CHFC Signs onto Hydrogen Weight Exempting Letter of Support
CHFC joined a coalition letter to congressional leaders urging the inclusion of hydrogen vehicle weight parity provisions in the upcoming surface transportation reauthorization. The letter calls on Congress to extend the existing federal vehicle weight exemption currently available to natural gas and battery electric trucks to hydrogen-powered vehicles, ensuring all alternative fuel technologies are treated equally. Providing hydrogen trucks with the same weight flexibility would support the deployment of fuel cell vehicles, strengthen U.S. energy innovation, and help accelerate the growth of a domestic hydrogen transportation market.
